Chapter 25

The person was a pale, middle-aged man who was dressed in the same white clothes as the other servants. He was very thin and looked like a typical Japanese. He sat at the head of the table, separated from them by the big ugly fish.

Xie Yuchen was a very vigilant person, so if someone had entered this area, he would’ve definitely known immediately. It was the same for Black Glasses. But it was obvious that this person had suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

Either his steps were very light or he had been hiding somewhere.

Xie Yuchen didn’t understand what it meant at first, but then the man gradually lowered himself to the ground and slowly started crawling towards them.

He was crawling so slowly that it took Xie Yuchen ten seconds to realize that he was really trying to crawl over to them. Moreover, he was crawling on the ground like a bug.

It was such a scary sight that the middle-aged man immediately stopped, and Black Glasses was able to crawl in front of him and confront him.

At this time, he saw Black Glasses put a hand behind his back and gesture at him: You too.

Xie Yuchen looked at the gesture and understood why Black Glasses had said that he would be in pain later.

He hesitated for a moment and then sighed before getting on the ground and crawling towards Black Glasses with that same weird movement.

It was actually a very useful movement to use when rock climbing, but it just felt very childlike when doing it on the ground.

He glanced at the middle-aged man in front of him who looked at them coldly before making another gesture at them: Follow me.

His expression was calm and sober so he didn’t seem to be possessed.

It appeared that crawling on the ground like this was his own choice, but why did he move like that?

At this time, Xie Yuchen found that the foul odor wasn’t as strong down here on the ground as it was when they were standing up. It seemed that the air close to the ground was free of smells.

The middle-aged man began crawling out of the room. Xie Yuchen hesitated for a moment—he hadn’t finished exploring the room—but the middle-aged man gave them a stern look, shook his head at them, and then gestured for them not to stand up.

Xie Yuchen thought it over for a moment before deciding to follow this person first since his expression seemed sincere and unwavering.

Led by the pale-faced middle-aged man, the two of them made their way out of the room and began crawling through the corridor outside. The scene was so odd that it was almost otherworldly.
