Chapter 77 It Appears

“Is it raining?” I was shocked, thinking that it was really amazing for it to be raining underground, although I didn’t know what kind of weather conditions would have to occur to cause such a phenomenon.

Fatty looked up and wiped his face as more liquid dripped down around him. We could see that many of the droplets were falling from a place high up in the dark that our firelight couldn’t reach. Some were very large and converged into scattered water columns while others were an extremely fine mist that hit the face with a coolness that didn’t feel wet.

As more and more liquid came down, we slowly began to hear the sound of water coming from the surrounding rock crevices. I gathered some of it in my hand but saw that there wasn’t anything strange about it. It was clear and non-corrosive, which meant that it really was rain.

“Does it rain in the Himalayas?” Fatty asked Feng. “Is it raining above and the rain’s coming down?”

Feng frowned, “Theoretically, it should be possible for it to rain anywhere. But shouldn’t it be snow in places like this? Could there have been a snowstorm above and the snow was melted by the geothermal heat?”

“It’s kind of interesting, but hey,” I looked at the ground, “let’s not get flooded.” The amount of water coming down from above definitely wasn’t small. It wouldn’t be good for us to wait around for it to pour into this area like a soup pot.

“There’s a lot of space down here and the water should be able to penetrate deeper but our plan may have to change. Put out the fire quickly. It’s not easy for us to poop. I can’t pull any more out,” Fatty said regretfully while touching his ass.

The three of us put the filth in a place where there was no water coming from above. Waterfall-like currents began to appear all around and the water level was rising very fast. Zhang Haixing was also dragged aside, but I was very cautious of this woman and didn’t allow her to see us directly. No matter how scheming she was, she couldn’t do anything if she didn’t know the situation.

There was more and more water, and we kept having to change places, but there were fewer dry areas left. The place really was starting to turn into a flood plain.

There was no movement around and we kept the light source to a minimum. The dung fire was still burning slightly, but the smell was washed away by the fresh water vapor. I listened to the rain and looked at the darkness around me, suddenly realizing that I had seen such a scene before.

It was on that videotape.

At that time, the person who shot the video must have entered this absolutely dark, heavy rain under the same circumstances.

Was it here? I thought it unlikely. From the sequence of events, the darkness in the video should have been from the snake marsh.

And I remembered that there was lightning in the darkness, which meant that it was a more open climate.(1)

My thoughts were interrupted when Fatty suddenly asked, “Do you hear any strange sounds?”

I held my breath and listened, immediately finding that there was a change in the sound of the water. It was similar to the kind of change in sound frequency of a waterfall splitting as it washed over you or that moment when you leave the water’s spray when showering to apply soap and then return to the water.

Something was walking in the rain.

As Fatty flicked his lighter on and looked around, we all froze instantly.

About three meters in front of us in the curtain of rain was an anomaly. All the water dripping from above was blocked mid-air by something, and as the water flowed down the outline of that thing, a huge human figure was formed. It was very strange to see the state of that thing. We couldn’t see what its form looked like from the places where the water flowed, but where the water didn’t flow, we could see the luster of metal armor of various colors. The whole thing looked like a strange and ever-changing 3D painting.

“Water.” Fatty suddenly realized something and went to catch some of the rain on the side. “There are discolored microorganisms in the water.”
